We’ve been receiving questions of all kinds from customers about which bits to use on for their projects. Here at CNC Router Store, we provide expert advice on which tools would be best for your routing projects.
Our most recent inquiry was about cutting 0.0625 anodized aluminum. They needed to cut at least 1/8th of an inch with a shank diameter of 1/4. Additionally they required a downcut bit.
Based on the project requirements, we recommended the Onsrud 62-600 series, specifically bit number 62-606. This bit optimized for use on high-speed CNC mills, high speed machining centers, and CNC Routers. The downcut bit forces the chips down into the cut creating a cleaner cut.
